I don't know if an Agnostic is suppossed to...

Technically speaking, I am not sure if an Agnostic is allowed to pray or not. But, I just feel like writing this verse, as it's been a long time since I last recited it:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thine shall be done, all over earth as in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive each one of those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Cause thine is, thy power, thy kngdom, and thine glory. Amen!

I still read your blog, Sumedh.

Great post. I hope and pray all is going well for you, my friend.

Can I ask what led you to post and recite Christ's prayer?

grace and peace,
Rick

Thank alot, Rick.

Although, that is a difficult question :) , if not an impossible one to answer.
Because I donot know the reason myself.I was just feeling a little blue and lonely, and as an instinctive measure, like something I would have done quite some time ago, I just wrote this post!

I'm so glad you posted that, Sumedh. Sometimes I feel the exact same way.
The way it affects me is that it reminds me how frail I am. Sometimes, in this individualistic world that glorifies the self-centered person, I forget how small and frail I am as a human being, how easy it would be for me to fall. It helps me to acknowledge that I cannot control all the forces in my life. It gives me hope that there is someone higher giving me the strength to act on the things I believe to be most vital in life, or at the very least, it brings into my confidence a dose of humility, so that I remember the important things, and avoid getting hung up on the meaningless opinions and details that invade my everyday life.
Wonderful post!
